COURTNEY VEGA KING (VIOLIN)
Courtney Vega-King began her violin studies at age six and has enjoyed playing the violin since the early 1990s. In her formative years Ms. Vega-King participated in various honorary orchestras and summer programs. While earning her bachelor's degree at Emory University, Ms. Vega-King served as assistant principal second violin with the Emory Symphony Orchestra. In her performances with the symphony Ms. Vega-King has had the opportunity to be featured in a PBS special as well as to play at New York's Lincoln Center.
Ms. Vega-King is deeply indebted to her many wonderful teachers, including Lisa Yancich of the Atlanta Symphony and Oliver Steiner, a violin professor at the Eastman School of Music for 20 years. While completing graduate work at the University of Georgia, Ms. Vega King studied with Valerie Gardner, Levon Ambartsumian and Shakhida Azimkhodjaeva.
Through a graduate assistantship to perform with ARCO Chamber Orchestra and UGA Symphony, Ms. Vega-King earned an M.M. degree in Violin Performance from the University of Georgia (2020). During her graduate work at UGA, Ms. Vega-King passed her degree exam with distinction and received the Director's Excellence Award for exemplary scholarship, musicianship, service and leadership at the graduate level.
Ms. Vega-King received the Eckstein Merit Scholarship and a graduate assistantship to complete an M.M. in Instrumental Music Education at Northwestern University (2023). Ms. Vega-King performed with the Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra for the 2021-2022 season.
Ms. Vega-King has performed in orchestras throughout the southeast including the cities of Augusta, Greenville, and Asheville among others. Most recently, Ms. Vega-King received a scholarship to perform chamber music in Italy through Orvieto Musica (2023), served as Associate Concertmaster in the Georgia Festival of Music (2025), Artist Faculty at the Atlanta Festival Academy (2025, 2026) and the Atlanta Music Project World Music Festival (2026). Ms. Vega-King currently performs chamber music with the Atlanta Virtuosi (2025-2026).
Ms. Vega-King directs the orchestra program at Darlington School, an independent day and boarding school in Rome, GA, and teaches violin at Clayton State University and William Pu Music Academy.
Ms. Vega-King has maintained a private violin and viola studio since the mid 2000s. Her private students have achieved membership and leadership positions in many youth and university orchestras and competitive programs such as Atlanta Youth Symphony, Governor's Honors Program, including concertmaster positions in both GMEA All-State and Cobb County Honor Orchestra.
HANNAH HISE (VIOLIN)
Hannah began taking violin lessons at the age of ten, and participated in the Cobb County Music Teachers Association Solo Festival for two years. She has also performed with the GMEA All-State Orchestra 2004 and the Christian Community Orchestra of Douglasville. She is a graduate of Reinhardt College, majoring in violin performance. Hannah currently teaches strings privately in the Atlanta area.
CHUCK GUNSAULLUS (VIOLIN/VIOLA)
Chuck Gunsaullus started playing the violin in Arlington Heights, IL at the age of 5. After studying at the Hartt School of Music and University of Kansas, he began his music career which includes orchestras like the New Jersey Symphony, Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, Hartford Symphony, Georgia Symphony, and Huntsville Symphony.
SANDY MICHAUD (CELLO/QUARTET MANAGER)
Sandy studied piano at an early age, and began playing the viola at age twelve. As a student, she attended many festivals sponsored by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association and was active in the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra and the Bucks County Youth Orchestra. While pursuing an accounting degree at the University of Richmond, she played with the University of Richmond Symphony and the Petersburg Symphony. She has been an active member of several church orchestras since her move to Atlanta in 2001. Sandy joined the Celebration String Quartet on cello in 2005 and began managing the quartet in 2008.
